located in suburban Philadelphia
CHISELED, CARVED, RIPPED AND HANDSOME.
I WISH I LOOKED THIS GOOD HEADING ROUND MY NEXT CURVE TOWARDS MIDDLE-AGE.
As a career auto mechanic, I make a hard-earned living off the frustrating new car complications and the increasing expense of getting further up the road, but feeling financially never getting anywhere past a traffic-jam of bills. Personally, while life is a truly a lease, I like to own things. Things that work. I like simplicity. Make no unnecessary chores. Get me from A to B, in style, without stealing my wallet. Especially my own personal car. Of the good old daze, this one is still my favorite. As I get older, this car still looks as good as ever.
AT A GLANCE:
- Garaged, clean and original, right down to the Eagle GTs
- White/Maroon
- All stock, no modifications
- 45k miles
- Standard 305 V8, 5.0, 150 hp
- Auto, PS, PB, AC, Bucket seats
- F41 Sport Suspension
- Straight body, no rust, hickeys or bruises
- Excellent interior, new headliner
- Full window tint
- VIN 1G1GZ11G6HP119088 built 12/86
- Trunk, door post and windshield numbers match
- Clear PA title in my name, inspected and registered
WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT IT DOES.
This SS is my bullet-proof favorite, as well as my personal, fair weather commuter. It’s simple GM meat and potatoes on a rugged metal tray, made to cruise or muscle, in a simpler recipe tastier and more satisfying than a stack of Hungry Man® dinners and a weekend of bootleg taped Speed Channel reruns going round and round.
WHAT TO DO NEXT?
Hardly anything for the moment as the maintenance is current, as it’s my job. But as soon as these tires wear off, I’d pop for some modern rubber and trade in the stock catalytic exhaust for an aftermarket with some attitude to match your own personality. Maybe add the fresh air duct back to the air cleaner. Then leave it alone and let it make toast of muscle cars while getting in on the cheap.
I’M SPRING CLEANING AND SAYING GOOD BUY.
Give a call or stop by the garage for a thorough look and an honest, enthusiastic chat. Located in suburban Philadelphia, I’ll lend a hand any way I can. Then continue to wear it in, and wear it out. Whether kept concours or rodded, stock or lowered to the basement, with endless options and parts available for chump change, this could be your four-wheeled final exam in Vo-Tech as summer lets the good times roll again. Every one should know what it is to drive a car like this. Make it your own, drive it around and pick up every one that gives you a thumbs up for a ride. It’s O.K., they’re not hitchhiking. But, who doesn't want to see the U.S.A. in a Chevrolet?
