1956 Chevrolet 2 Door Hardtop, Complete Frame Off Restoration, All original, All Numbers Matching, Asking Price: $59,000. 265 V8, 4 bbl Carburetor, 3 speed manual, Black on Black, Rust Free California Car, 128,393 original miles, I am the 2nd Owner. Documentation on History, Documentation on Restoration, Everything has been rebuilt, refurbished, or replaced with new parts. Here are the details: The paint is show quality, Base Coat with Clear Coat. The car was a rust free CA car. The Motor... was rebuild, the transmission was gone through, the rear differential was redone. Every piece of Chrome and trim is perfect with no flaws of any kind. Entire Exterior and Interior is show quality. Wide White Radial Tires. Front Suspension has been rebuilt, Brakes have been redone. The undercarriage was repainted and undercoated. The was originally undercoated at the dealer. The floor pan is covered in Dyna Mat covering. The radio is original and works great. All upholstery, carpet, door panels, headliner, etc is brand new. All of the exterior stainless and chrome is brand new or like brand new. The interior is completely new. The steering wheel was not repainted. The son wanted to see all of the scratches from his mom's wedding ring. Here is the history on the car. It was bought new in Northern California by a man with a young family. (See pictures of the car with mom and the kids.) The car was parked in storage after the family bought new Chevrolet cars. The car sat in storage for over 30 years until the son got the car out of storage and did a complete restoration on the car. Documentation on the restoration is extensive. The dad was surprised by his son after the restoration and Dad was able to drive the car before his passing a few years later. It would be almost impossible to find a car in the excellent original condition of this car. It would be almost impossible to find a car with this kind of history and documentation.
