With its high impact look, this 1968 Chevrolet C10 pickup won't get lost in a crowd any time soon. But it's got a lot more to offer than just a bold visual statement, as it also combines a powerful drivetrain with a host of features to make it right at home on the boulevard, where it's sure to turn heads. Featuring bright yellow paint that's ornamented with bronze flames originating up front and culminating at its doors, this C10 is... certainly no shrinking violet. It makes a bold statement to be sure, but also a finished appearance to go with it, with fresh-looking rubber seals surrounding clear glass on both its front and rear windshields, as well as clean bumpers and a front grille that shows no obvious blemishes. The scoop rising from the center of that ornate hood was also shaped and installed with care, with a very symmetrical form that's surrounded by smooth steel. It seems like the majority of custom trucks are shortbeds, so this longbed C10 is a welcome sight. There's a lot to like with this tan and yellow interior, as there are some nice features inside. The tan bench seat is a great blending of vinyl and cloth, with signature Chevy yellow-colored bowties stitched behind the driver and passenger positions on the seatback. Just in front of it, the B&M shifter that sits in place of its long-stemmed predecessor sits elevated on a diamond plated pedestal - a great custom touch that puts it within easy reach. Just beyond the Grant steering wheel, the dash area is an expanse of smooth yellow steel, with a fresh-looking instrument cluster that's filled with original gauges still perfectly legible behind their clear lenses, with a crack-free and straight brown dash pad sitting above. A JVC AM/FM/CD player sits ready to provide the audio choices you're looking for as you hit the road, and the underdash air conditioning system is in great form to keep you and your passenger comfortable as you log the miles. The mini-tubbed bed in back is straight and ding-free, covered in a spray on bed liner painted yellow to match the rest of the exterior. This is a very strong running truck, with a 396-cubic inch V8, outfitted with an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carb sitting underneath its scooped hood to provide all the power you'd want. It produces a great, rumbling note as it exhales out a pair of headers into its dual exhausts. It's paired with a TH400 3-speed transmission to make for a durable and smooth functioning drivetrain. An aluminum radiator, equipped with a pair of dual electric fans, has been added to keep engine temperatures in check. Chevy was beginning to find that the public wanted more comfort from its pickups, and one of the ways it obliged was by adding the rear coilover suspension sitting in place of the far more common leaf springs, providing a smoother ride and eliminating a good deal of unwanted suspension noise and binding through turns. A couple of other comfort features often missing in custom trucks are present and accounted for here, in the form of power front disc brakes and power steering. This high-impact vintage pickup sits on a set of 15" Chevy rims with centers painted to match the truck's exterior that are outfitted with BF Goodrich TAs in front and huge, asphalt-grasping Hoosier ProStreet tires in back. If you're looking for a classic pickup that's packing power to backup its bold aggressive look, you should really check out this 1968 Chevy C10 pickup. Call today!
