1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Additional Info:

This is a real story about a little old lady that purchased this 1968 Malibu new and kept until just last year when it needed to be parked. It has a new set of tires and just completed a 200 mile round trip journey! Pump the gas twice and it fires right up, if it's run at all you don't even need to pump the gas next time to start it, just turn the key and she purrs....you can barely hear it running! The air conditioning is all in tact but I would expect it to need a charge. If you look closely you can see signs of how incredibly original the car is. The heat riser is still installed on the air cleaner; that's a first! The key buzzer works, when have you heard that last on an unrestored car? Original carpets, seat covers, all original sheetmetal, original wheels. Outside of the paint job it's virtually a time capsule! You won't find a more solid car either, there are a couple of small bubbles you'll see in the last photo but I don't think that is rust given the age of the paint job, but instead poor prep work. Itwas originally a white car that she had painted yellow and it was an amateur job. The pictures make it look better than it is, it probably would've been a pretty decent paint job had they sanded it, but they didn't and granny wasn't the best parker in the world either so it's got some bumps and bruises thanks to the garage. This is a driver car, it is not a show car, drive it and enjoy just the way it sits, or tinker with it over time, it'll be your choice! Overall this is dependable transportation and it happens to be a classic that yes, still gets thumbs up whenever I drive it. If you've ever wanted a classic to enjoy without an $800 a month payment this is probably your best opportunity in a long time. Sold as is, where is, $500 non refundable deposit due in 36 hours of auction ending, balance due in 7 days or upon pick up whichever comes first. Please ask any questions ahead of time, you can come and look at it, send a friend, an appraiser ask for videos or additional pictures........before the auction ends. You're buying an automobile, not an opportunity to inspect it after the auction ends.
