GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette for consideration. This Vette has been in the current owner's hands over the last 9 years and was in her fathers for many years prior to that. It is finished with a Silver and Grey exterior paint with some sharp red pin-striping along the body and even in the door jams. The exterior features a custom widebody style design that looks aggressive and shows very well for the age of the vehicle, it was restored 15+ years ago and does... show some paint chippings and normal wear and tear. The motor has been replaced with a 454 Cubic Inch V8 that runs exceptionally well and sounds phenomenal. Paired with the Big Block, is a Muncie M20 4 Speed Manual Transmission that is strong in every gear and seems to function as it should. The current owner has kept up with the maintenance to keep this Vette running and looking like a top over the last decade, some of that includes; wiper system rebuild, new heat riser and gasket, new brake lines, new exhaust manifold and pipes, newer steering column, newer gas door, newer door trim panels, newer glove box and hinges, newer headlight motors, sun visors, newer seat tracks, antenna assembly and much more. The Corvette launched its 2nd generation with the birth of the Stingray with a complete redesign barely resembling its predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had independent suspension, and was aerodynamically tested. The only American cars that could produce similar speed were large, heavy Super Stock optioned Mopars and Super Duty Pontiacs. For the first time, the United States had mass produced a true all-around sports car. Chevrolets Corvette now entering its 14th year of production and with the cars continuous evolvement since its inception in 1953, the Corvette optimized the combination of American style and performance. The Sting Ray Corvettes of 1967 captured the hearts of car lovers around the globe. The small block cars were quick, light and nimble cars that possessed excellent balance and drivability, and the big block cars produced some the most thrilling horsepower ever applied to American automobile production.
