1978 Chevrolet C-10 Scottsdale Additional Info:
350CI V8 - this is the second engine on this truck, changed around 1999-2000. It is a 350 from a 1975 Camaro, with an RV cam. Because of the RV cam, the idle is a little rough. Exact mileage on engine is unknown. New brake booster and master cylinder in Feb of 2018. Equipped with A/C, but not functioning, compressor is seized and belt was removed. New rear brake shoes in 2017.
Transmission is a TH400 with transmission cooler mounted on the radiator
The “Big 10” designation means the truck has no emissions controls, never did. No catalytic converter, no evaporative canister, very few vacuum hoses.
Appearance is rough, with rust through on all fenders and surface rust on all panels. Interior is similarly rough, dash and seat are cracked, torn, rough.
The truck drives smoothly and runs decent, stall occasionally but restarts. The carburetor might need some tuning, or maybe ignition timing adjusted, haven’t had time to work on it, and won’t anytime soon, so it’s time for it to go.
The tires are old, but hold air.
I bought this truck from my father in 2016, it passed Colorado emissions easily. The truck has been in my family since the early 1990’s. Clear title in-hand.
