1979 Chevrolet Corvette Original White Paint & Red Leather Buckets L48 350ci V8 / Automatic Transmission 55,341 Miles VIN: 1Z8789S419627 Engine #: V0108ZAH 19S419627 Paint: Classic White (10) Trim: Medium Red Leather (722) Exterior: - Please see the video with the listing, as the car is shown in detail and with close-ups of all blemishes. - While the original paint cleans up nicely, it does show a few signs of age. The rear bumper in particular has faded dull a bit, and there are a number of touched-up chips... scattered about the car. There is one spot of body damage on the car, and that is a crack in the fiberglass on the driver’s fender, just ahead of the front wheel. - Wheels are in nice shape, with minimal oxidation and no curb rash or damage. Tires, while in good shape, are a bit older and should therefore be replaced sooner rather than later. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. - The car will come with white T-tops and their carrying cases, as well as a plastic fixed roof. - In the photos you will note a handful of missing lug nuts; we have since replaced them with new ones. Interior: - Medium Red leather interior presents nicely. Seats are phenomenally comfortable and the color really pops against the white exterior. There is a burst seam on the passenger seat bottom. - Driver’s door panel is missing the armrest. - Carpeting is good; the driver’s floor mat shows some wear. - Dash is excellent. No cracks or damage. - Power windows are functional, as is the radio, fan/heat/defrost, pop-up headlamps, signals, wipers, and all gauges. No air conditioning. Under the Hood / Underbody: - The engine is the original ZAH-code L48 350ci V8, good enough for 195hp. The motor is date stamped January 8th, 1978. - The car runs and drives nicely. It fires right up, idles steady and cool, and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The car accelerates through the gears without any stuttering or hesitation, and tracks straight down the road. - The underbody is very, very good. One of the highlights of the car. There is absolutely no through rust, and with the exception of the exhaust, not even any surface rust. The car is structurally sound and shows no underbody damage. Overall, this is a nice, original, driver-level example. With any further questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to Jake at 773-303-6122.
