1970 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

1970 Corvette Convertible. I purchased this in 2009 as a project.I worked on it for three years before relocating and had to store it.
Its been in storage in this condition for the past six years. Dry storage indoors. The car is located in klamath Falls Oregon. I live in Houston Texas. I have some people there to assist the buyer.
The chassis is powder coated in super chrome. also most of the suspension parts.I have a few parts for the car also in storage. There is a new convertible OEM top still in the package. The frame for the top is with the car
The Engine is a 1994 9C1 police package LT1 I pulled from a running cop car along with the fresh rebuilt 4L80E trans. I have the harness and ECM.I drove the cop car home its the highest HP year for the caprice.5300 LB car would smoke rear tires for 50 feet.
The paint is Charcoal Metallic. Fresh paint just before going into storage.I the wheels are Boss 338 18 inch. I purchased them new for this project along with new tires.
This is a project. Not a running car. It needs completed. Most of the chassis is assembled.
So. Back in the 1980's a man thought it would be cool to modify the car with newer front and rear section. That's why it looks like a later 70's car. It is A/C equipped. I do not have any interior.
I am not a corvette expert. but its titled as a 1970 convertible and vin matches chassis and body.

I purchased a complete suspension and bushing kit. Tie rod and ends etc viewable in the pictures. The engine and trans are monted in the chassis.

There are some retro parts for interior that have been modified and lots of hours to fit the dash and components. everything is there for a good start. Center Console, Dash wire harness for the switches out of a 2007 Hyundai sante fe. actually looks pretty good with it in.

The body and Chassis were separated. I took the chassis and components to the soda blasting company and had them stripped. and powder coated. The chassis and suspension were completely disassembled during this process.. As i listed I purchased all new bushings, sway bars, shocks, tie rod and ends. The steering gear and brake calipers to my memory are the only reused components.I noticed the rear brake discs are in the car as the rear calipers should be also.
The body was stripped to bare gel coat, primed and blocked four times.. its impeccable workmanship. Sealed with Sherwin epoxy sealer and base clear with tec-base and sherwin premium Ultra 3000 Clear. Three generous coats of clear. The entire finish was cut and buffed to an incredible shine. It looks amazing. When I mounted the body to the chassis i used brand new body bushings.

I have included a picture of the vin stamp on the windshield pillar.
