Up for sale is a 1967 Chevrolet C10 with optional air conditioning!
I have worked on this truck for about a year and have had a lot of fun.All of the body work has been done by a professional shop including the paint.
First let me tell you about the body. The truck had mostly surface rust and a few topical areas of rust through which were replaced with metal. The under frame is solid and I have not neutralized the surface rust and uncoated. All of the panels on the truck are very straight and has a very strong 9 out of 10 presence. The paint is in very good shape and is 6 months old.We choose the 1970 limited edition Dodge Daytona color. The truck doesn’t look new from the outside but very close.
The interior has a new rug and was carefully painted inside. To make it really great the bench seat needs to be reupholstered. It needs a new plastic chrome bazel over the gauge and the sun visors.Maybe $400 more and the inside is as nice as the outside (of course it is a simple interior).
Mechanically overall is in very, very good shape. The 350 engine has been rebuilt with a little bit of a cam, roller rockers, etc.It has no more than 2,000 miles on it and is very powerful. It has a new clutch and more importantly a rebuilt 3 on the tree shifter. The tires are new, the brakes are new, and all of the brake lines are new including the emergency brake system.I am pretty sure the simple electrical system is working. The alternator, fuel pump, and starter are also new.The radiator system works fine.Although once again it is pretty simple.
I plan to do the list of work below and shoot for a higher price on the truck but I thought I would also offer it for less money and let someone do what they want. Here is a refresher list on what I still plan on doing to the car if it doesn’t sell.
1)New vinyl seat cover
2)Chrome gauges cover
3)New sun visors
4)Gas pedal
5)2ndcoat on bed or liner
6)Detail engine compartment which has already been done but needs to be washed, etc.
7)New lug nuts for the rims
8)Possibly install air conditioner pressure
9)Antenna
10)Undercoat bottom of truck
11)Change muffler system to headers? Sounds great now.
Overall this is already a great truck and looks amazing. As most collectors know there are 3 major companies that sell every part for these trucks and just as many used parts at the shows and internet. Most people also know that they have finally started to get a lot of attention and are going up in value.I hope I did a good job with descripting the truck. It is really straight and really nice and each day that goes by I will be doing more of the list above with my 14 year old son.The truck is in the Chestnut Hill part of Philadelphia and we can store it for you and even deliver it for a small price up to a 200-300 radius if it helps.
I believe that this is a very fair price from looking at other trucks like this.
Thanks in advance
