1966 Chevrolet Corvette Red leather Additional Info:
Offered for sale is my 1966 Rally Red 327/300hp Corvette Coupe. This Corvette is a numbers matching 327/300hp .The Powerglide trans is also numbers matching and will be part of the purchase.(The trans installed in the car is the 4 speed overdrive). This car had a clearcoat paint restoration in the late 80's and has been very well cared for. The paint and chrome are in very nice condition with only a few very small chips. The interior carpet and leather seat covers were replaced in the last couple years, they look great. The seat belts were replaced two years ago and they have some chips in the paint on the buckle from use. As far as I know everything is in good working order except the windshield washer and I am working on that. The engine had a total rebuild in 2003 and I have receipts. The automatic overdrive (GM 2004R) was a new rebuild when installed in 2014. A new 1600 GM Lock-up torque convertor was installed at same time, along with a new stock trans cooler. There is almost nothing mechanical on the car that has not had attention during my restoration including modern power disc brakes and power steering. All items of the suspension were either replaced or restored to new condition. I intended this car to be a driver and not a show car and that explains some of the updates I've added like modern power steering kit by Borgeson, Tilt steering column by Ididit, automatic overdrive trans and modern booster and mastercylinder for the disc brakes. I also updated the headlight motors with the Detroit Speed kit and air conditioning from Vintage Air. Other items to make the ride more pleasant include new Bilstein shocks on all four corners, a new Holley carb with electric choke and a removable custom console to hold your coffee. I have the original owners manual and Warranty Protect-o-Plate and some items/receipts of early ownership for the car. The car was originally sold in Elizabethtown, Ky, in July 1966. I also have my notebook of part numbers and receipts and contacts and manuals to go with the car. A custom fit Covercraft car cover is included to protect your investment. The odometer shows 48571 miles. I don't know if this number is accurate or not.
If you are interested in buying the car and have a question about it, send me a message thru Ebay with your phone number and I promise to call you as soon as I see the message. I would encourage anyone that is interested in buying the car to come and see it. I'll have it on the lift for you to inspect. If you need an additional picture of something just let me know.
For shipping, I will assist you in any way I can. Local pick-up will work also as my schedule is flexible.
