1969 Chevrolet El Camino SS Additional Info:
Welcome to streetdreamstexas as we cruise into our 19th year in the classic and collector car business. We normally sell restored cars and trucks, but have people all the time wanting projects. Well here you go this is a great car to restore to the glory it deserves. This is a numbers matching SS 396 engine which the guy that traded it in to me said he had it rebuilt a few years ago adding a nice aluminum intake, carb, spitty camshaft pumping HP through headers and Flow-Masters. You gotta love it being a T-10 HD 4 speed transmission, power steering, power brakes and the HD 12 bolt rear end. The original colors were Fathom Green with tan which would sure look great! Please understand what you are buying: It is a PROJECT! Not a nice car. The interior looks like crap, the paint is bad, the driver's side rear qtr panel has a huge scrape. The chassis is very solid with the exception of the pan behind the driver, It needs that pan replaced. The frame and the rest of the chassis is in good shape. We put an older set of matching T/A radials on the original 14" SS wheels. The interior is rough: headliner sagging, seat cover looks terrible, the door panels are rough, carpet is terrible. The bed has been rhino lined in the past. This car has lots of potential as it has the right hood, steering wheel, and door panels. Please remember this car needs restoration or do a little tlc and just drive it. I took it to the gas station, blistering the tires and grabbing a lovely 2nd and even taking it to 75 down the highway. It really runs and drives pretty good. We installed a brand new battery and had the front end rebuilt so that it is a driver. Thanks for looking Tony
