1985 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
This is a CUCV M1008 1-1/4 military truck. The truck has the usual rust issues, as is expected on a 30 year old truck. The plow was put on a few years ago-only for my driveway-never plowed commercially. The truck has been serviced regularly. In the lase few years, it got a new starter, new fuel tank, new oil pan, new brake lines, etc. The truck was running extremely well....Then the front battery was partially discharged. I went to start it....and the starter relay got stuck in the on position....I know the fusible link to the glow plugs went, and now the truck does not have any lights go on/does not try to do anything when I turn the key. As a result, it is being sold as is! It may be a simple thing to fix for someone who knows what they are doing...or may be more. If you are interested in the truck, you should come take a look! The tires are excellent. The wheel wells, door sills and cabin corners need some attention. There is some frame rust, but the truck is not rotted out. The spare is mounted under the bed. A tow hitch is installed as well as the original Pintle hitch. These trucks are desired because of the potential for a rock climber. The suspension is all the original military grade parts, the truck is largely unmolested. It has good potential for someone who wants to convert it back to original shape. The plow comes with it. I am not looking to separate the two...I have nothing else that would use the plow.I will not ship the vehicle. Do not tell me you want it to be sent to the Philippines, or anywhere else for that matter. If you want to buy it, please bid. If you want to waste someone's time, look elsewhere. Cash at time of pickup is preferred. The truck will not leave my yard until payment has cleared. Sorry to sound so crabby, but too many scammers out there....
