1963 Chevrolet C-10 4X4 Additional Info:

You can still get a lot of vintage iron for your money with an old truck. Take this 1963 Chevrolet C10 4x4 pickup, which has a recent paint job, a stylish and comfortable interior, and V8 power, plus it offers the go-anywhere utility of 4-wheel-drive. If just having fun in a vintage truck is your goal, there aren't many more practical ways to do it.
The mid-60s Chevy pickups were a styling home-run, and they sold record numbers of them as a result. Today, they have a great old truck vibe without being so archaic that they can't be driven like a regular vehicle. Painting it an almost Army green certainly helps give this one a bit of an attitude, and with the straight sheetmetal and high-gloss finish, it certainly attracts attention wherever you park it. From the look of things, it spent its entire life in a warm climate, so the sheetmetal was still in great shape when the restoration started. You also get loads of character, a genuine wood bed that offers a warm contrast to the spray-on bedliner around it, and enough chrome to look right, including the front bumper, tow hooks, and a decent original grille grille. They didn't add, modify, or shave anything, so it has a very old-school look including the unique airfoil on the back of the cab of these trucks that's just plain cool.
The period-correct green and white vinyl interior adds to the stylish vibe of this pickup, and with a new seat cover and carpets, it feels more luxurious than many of its contemporaries. On the other hand, it's still rugged and built for the job site, so the controls feel robust in your hands and everything's simple and direct. The gauges are well-marked with orange pointers hidden behind a single panel and the steering wheel has a dressed-up look with that shiny horn ring in the center. A more recent Pioneer AM/FM/CD/iPod radio has been fitted into the center of the dash, but it's a neat installation that looks almost like the factory intended. This was an original PowerGlide truck, but there's a 3-speed automatic transmission in there today, so the original shift quadrant doesn't quite line up but it works just fine.
Replacing the original inline-six, this truck now carries a Corvette-spec 327 cubic inch V8, which delivers a healthy wallop of torque to get this long bed pickup rolling without strain. With bright Chevy Orange paint, a few shiny dress-up items, and an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, it has the right look under the hood and definitely makes this truck feel quick around town. The underhood area is beautifully preserved and offers the kind of presentation that you'll love to show off at the local cruise night. Other upgrades include an HEI ignition system, upgraded plug wires, and stock ram's horn exhaust manifolds. Underneath, there's a recent dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers for a great V8 sound and with that 4-wheel-drive system, you can go just about anywhere. It's tidy underneath, showing evidence of a quality restoration, and it appears that the underside has been coated with durable undercoating, so it's ready for another 50 years. Shiny aluminum wheels with spinners update things a bit and they carry beefy 33x12.50-15 Goodyear radials that fill the fenders perfectly.
We sell a lot of these trucks, but we don't often see them restored to this level. Beautiful, fun, and still able to do a bit of work, this Chevy has a bright future ahead of it. Call today!
