1969 Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupe Additional Info:
A TRUE SURVIVOR!!! One owner, garage kept, unmolested, very rare to find them in this condition! This car was built the first week of January, 1969 in Atlanta Ga., sent to Jacksonville, Fl. and sold the 2nd week of January. It's been here it's whole life with the same man that purchased it new!
It's a matching numbers, 327 - 2B, Powerglide transmission. Car is mostly original (tires/wheels/exhaust not original), factory AC, Interior is untouched from original. Had 1 repaint in 2016 (Maco) which is not the best but very driveable/cruiser quality. The paint has a few "blemishes" in it from Maco, but shines and shows very nice. I also have the receipt from Maco.
I have the original Protectoplate, owners manual, build sheet, and a ton of receipts for upkeep. The documentation I have as far back as 2002, confirms the mileage at 54k and being the condition of the car, I have no doubt that what the odometer is showing (69783), is actual mileage. For a 49 year old car that's never been restored, and 69k indicated, it shows very little usage. Although I can't swear to it being the low mileage that's indicate, I have no reason to believe it is what it is.
The original matching numbers 327 has been rebuilt w/appx 1,500 miles since rebuild. The Trans seals were replaced at the same time, after the original owners passing, as well as the paint. Body side molding was removed and holes filled accordingly. Molding is in the trunk and included. Has new 15" tires and wheels, but originals with the factory wheel covers come with the car, if you want them. New single exhaust (as came from the factory).
Overall, the car is a pleasure to drive knowing most of the history behind it and it was originally purchased here in Jacksonville, Fl, been here it's whole life, to the same man until he passed. True classic. No rust in trunk pans, floors or anywhere that I can find, except some minor surface. All original sheet metal! Driver side of bench seat is torn, and small crack in dash pad (see pics). The only thing I know the car needs right not is a fan speed switch for the HVAC controls and a hinge pin replaced in the drivers door (has a little play).
