1972 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
You are bidding withNO RESERVE on a stunning example of a 1972 Camaro Pro-Touring Show Car. This beauty was completely restored from the ground up and only has 1572 miles on it since its high dollar restoration. Below is a list of the many features and details of the high quality restoration:
Body and Paint:A rust free, never wrecked 1972 Camaro shell started this build and it was completely taken down to bare metal and painted PPG Forest Green Base Coat, Clear Coat, then Rally Gloss Black Stripes were added and cleared over as well. The paint is beautiful, has a mirror like finish, no orange peel, no waves, super nice I would say a solid 9 or 9.5 out of 10. All of the gaps are perfect, the hood, doors, and trunk shut easily. NO RUST or Bondo at all on the car. Looks like it just rolled off the assembly line from 1972. The underneath is original with the exception of the passenger front floor pan that was cut out and had a new pan welded in. It is super solid, no patches, no rust. Just 1972 show quality sheet metal. All of the emblems, lights, bezels, chrome, you name it was replaced less than a year ago and are in excellent shape as you can see by the pictures. All lights, turn signals, etc work as they should. The trunk is flawless, no rust, original sheet metal, factory mat installed, no rust or holes at all.
Interior:All of the interior was replaced using classic industries back to mostly stock with the exception of the pro-touring style bucket seats that are extremely nice and comfortable, and an aftermarket gauge cluster complete with Tach, Speedo, Volt, Oil Pressure, Temp, and Fuel and a JVC CD player. Brand new carpet was installed, new sill plates, new headliner, new package tray, new speakers, new dash, new door panels, just about everything was replaced. All new weatherstrippings were installed as well. Vintage A/C control panel installed in original a/c controls. Grant GT Steering wheel.
Engine:Custom built 383 Stroker set up for dependability and drivability. Fresh 4 Bolt main bolt with forged rotating stroker assembly. Melling high volume oil pump, ARP bolts, Clevite 77 bearings. Comp Cam 282 duration hydraulic camshaft. Double roller timing chain. GM 2:02 heads with stainless valves, Edelbrock performer RPM intake and Edelbrock 1411 750 CFM electric choke carburetor. Hooker headers flowing into 2 1/2 dual exhaust sounds very healthy and grabs attention anywhere you go. Car is fully equipped with New Power Disc Brakes, March Polished Pulley System with Chrome Power Steering pump, New Polished Vintage A/C system blows ice cold. Chrome 100 AMP 1 WireAlternator, Chevrolet Black Crackle Dress up Kit.
Transmission:Professionally rebuilt Turbo 400 with shift kit, 2800 stall convertor, hardened input shaft, new chrome transmission pan with fresh fluid and filter.
Rear:Original 12-bolt all rebuilt with Posi-Trac unit, Richmond 3:55 rear gear for highway cruising. All new bearings and seals, aftermarket heavy duty axles. chrome differential cover. Car revs about 3000 at 70 MPH.
Cooling and Misc:Brand new Champion 4 core aluminum radiator, new high flow aluminum water pump, new hoses, car runs 180 without the a/c and 200 with the a/c on in rush hour traffic. As stated before it is fully equipped with Power Steering all Chrome, Power Disc Brakes, Vintage A/C Ice-Cold, all the suspension was rebuilt as well and the car handles like a new Corvette.
Wheels and Tires:Brand new Torq Thrust II polished mags 15 inch, front tires are about 40% and rear tires are about 70%.
Overall I would say the car is a solid 9.5 out of 10, you can get in it and go. I personally drove the car to Georgia and back over 400 miles and didn't have one problem. The car doesn't run hot, doesn't miss a beat, gets thumbs up everywhere you go and sounds incredible. If you have been looking for a nice Camaro that you can take to car shows and get in and drive cross country look no further. You will not find a nicer better driving car for the money. Take a look at the pictures and the car looks even better in person.Do not let this one slip past your collection you will regret it. Had some questions asking if the car needs anything, the car is turn key ready to enjoy, the only thing I noticed is with the added 3 piece rear spoiler the trunk springs don't hold up the extra weight as good so they need to be tightened besides that the car needs nothing but a driver, again you will not find a nicer looking and driving Camaro, thanks!
