Has up for auction a “one of a kind” very cool custom vehicle.
This is a 1965 Chevrolet Biscayne wagon that was transformed into a civilized hot rod. Let me start by saying that this California born wagon is in wonderful condition. Always garaged kept and owned by a mechanic who did the customization. No rust anywhere. The body panels, floors and frame are in great original condition.
The color although appears silver is actually a very light misty mint green. Then its accented with a really cool high gloss gold along the rear side panels, the hood and the rear portion of the roof and line. Matching gold tint was applied to the windows. The Hurst wheels also match the gold treatments. The mint color has been on the car for twenty years and the gold was applied two years ago. The paint finish shines like new. No nicks, scratches or dents anywhere.
The Mickey Thompson tires(255/70/15 front, 275/60/15 rear) have less than 100 miles of wear. They very nicely offset the Hurst wheels.
All the glass is in great condition with the cranks performing as they should.
The interior with the exception of a just installed fitted padded black loop carpet and two front bucket seats, is original to the car. The rear bench seat looks as though it was never sat in. The original headliner is also in great condition. Same could be said about all four door panels, dash and gauge cluster. Everything including the radio works as they should.
The original three speed manual was removed from the tree and replaced with a new 4 speed M-20 wide ratio Muncie and Hurst shifter. Also installed was a brand new Crowley clutch.
Also brand new is the aluminum radiator, custom exhaust, thrush loaded mufflers that give her a neat throaty roar, air shocks that load from the outside rear, after market instrument gauges, a steering wheel tach, an under dash fully functioning A/C unit that blows cold, lots of new wiring and much more. This is a power steering and power brake vehicle and the radio does work.
Power this sled is a newly rebuild 406 GM small block with duel Edelbrock quads and a hydro mild cam. The motor was from a mid 70’s GM product and completely redone from top to bottom 900 miles ago. She is perfectly tuned and incredibly solid. One should not under estimate the power and speed this monster puts out. But having said that she can also be driven like the old ladies station wagon. But I’d defy anyone not to put the pedal down and feel the thrust when the two 4’s kick in.
This is a vehicle that can without hesitation be driven cross country or saved for those summer cruises and car shows. This very special one of a kind custom Biscayne turns head where she goes.
The vintage big wagons are very hard to find and souring in collector value. Then when you find a completely rust free custom like this one the investment becomes even better.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions and/or requests for more information. We’d be happy to furnish more photos.
Unlike most classic car dealers who photograph their cars in professionally lighted show rooms or on Holywood driveways, we at Fuzzy Dice shoot our pictures on our lot using nothing but a point and shoot camera. So what you see in the photos is exactly what it looks like in person.
Best of luck bidding on this very special vehicle.
