1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air Additional Info:
This is an eye catching hot rod 57. It was my Dad's car and now that he has passed away it needs a new home so that it can get back on the road. It has not been driven much in the past 4 years, but still runs and drives well. It has a new Edelbrock Performer 650 CFM carb as of 8 months ago (old carb in trunk for rebuild if you like) and fresh fuel in the tank (tank was drained and filled with 5 gal with stabilizer added late Jan 18). New battery in Jan 18. The last photo has details on the engine rebuild. It has an aggressive but still reasonable idle. (Built by Dad who was a heavy engine mechanic for 30+ years). Engine has about 53k miles on it since rebuild in approx 1998. Paint was done in early 2000. Air Conditioning, new radiator, and electric fan was installed at time of the engine rebuild, and AC works well. (center vent hidden in glove box). Camaro front disk break conversion kit with vacuum boosted split master cylinder.
The interior was redone in the early 80s and its time to replace due to an intermediate owner letting the car sit outside, no holes or tears but just doesn't look amazing anymore. Tires are about 15 years old show no signs of dry rot or cracking thanks to the car being stored indoors, but they should be replaced to insure proper grip in wet weather. As shown in pictures the body supports are in rough shape as well as some of the lower A-Arm bushings where they connect to the cross member. The rear shock mounts have been reinforced and are solid though. All of the door, trunk, and window seals are in rough shape. (note: skull and wings emblem on truck are applied with decal tape not screwed in as it appears, skull in rear window is functioning third break light)
All in all its a good cruiser that needs someone who can tinker with it a little and enjoy it. Feel free to send questions.
