1971 Corvette Stingray. Base model 350/270 horse power motor. Automatic transmission. Factory removable back window. Numbers matching original motor, transmission, and rear end. Very low miles on this car since its recent cosmetic restoration. Finished in the highly desirable color combination of Mille Miglia red (973) and black vinyl (400). The Corvette is numbers matching with the last six digits stamped on the engine block. This is one of the most original 1971 Corvette's you will every find....
I am the second owner. I purchased this Vette from the original owner. This car had been lovingly driven and cared for by the original owner since he purchased new in 1971. The Vette has been in the Pacific North West since new. The Corvette was always pampered, and well-maintained. The original owner drove the Corvette all the way up to his 80's. This is a rare opportunity to own a true classic, two owner, numbers matching low mile survivor.
Paint and Body- The original owner had a cosmetic restoration done to this car. The body was completely dissembled. All windows, trim, ect. were removed. The car was repainted its factory original color. The door jambs were also repainted. All work was done professionally to a very high standard. The paint is near perfect. The body is exceptional with no cracking. Nice original front/rear bumpers, body trim and chrome. New windshield, rubber. Very solid, dry, and rust free Corvette. The Vette has always been garaged according to the original owner. The factory Rally wheels were repainted as well. The original beauty rings and center caps are in excellent condition. The Vette has had a nice Le mans gas cap installed, however the original repainted gas lid cover is included.
Interior- The interior is mostly original and in exceptional condition. The original dash, seat upholstery and door panels are in mint condition. New carpet. The original AM/FM AC Delco radio works. All electrical works including; all gauges, tachometer, speedometer, wipers, blinkers, heater, horn, interior lights ect. I installed new exact reproduction oil pressure and temp gauges as the original ones were not working when I bought the car.
Motor and Transmission- Approx 20k miles on rebuilt numbers matching motor. The automatic transmission was rebuilt many years ago. New Edelbrock carb, valve covers, K&N air cleaner/filter, clutch fan, chrome alternator, plugs, cap, rotor, plug wires, temp sender, electronic ignition, and water pump. Nice headers. Fresh complete tune up and transmission service. The car runs and drives exceptional.
Brakes and Suspension- The Vette handles awesome. The suspension and steering are tight and responsive. The brakes are good. New rear leaf spring, power steering control valve, and KYB gas shocks front and rear. Newer brakes and master cylinder.
Other- Brand new BFG tires front and rear. New heater blower fan, heater core, Optima battery, and mufflers.
This is a very original low mile survivor. Cosmetically and mechanically this car is exceptional. Thousands of dollars and many man hours have gone into the preservation of this car. Clear Washington title. This is a great car to use as a driver or take to your local car shows.
