Up for grabs isa VERY RARE 1st year production Hydra-Matic Transmission 1953 GMC 1/2 ton short bed 5 window pickup. This rad survivor has been storedin the dry Nevada climate in a barnforever and originally came from California. This is a one family owned truck. VERY solidand strait truck with a few flaws as noted in pictures.Has original motor and transmission.Has only one area of rust out on bottom of panel on back of bed but that's it. Very solid truck. All glass in good condition with exception to drivers wing window is missing, passenger front has a crack, and passenger side window and regulator are inside cab on seat. Has Original interior that is intact. Even the seat isn't too bad! All sheet metal in great rust free shape, right front fender has a ding but could easily be massaged out, rest of body is very nice! Does not come with tailgate, have 3 of the 4 original rims. Also comes with a set of new aluminum bed strips.This truck in my opinion would be a great candidate for restoration. The first Hydra-Matics to my knowledge were produced only in very small numbers at the end of 53 so that makes this truck very rare! Truck does not run, drive, or stop, but does roll and steer. Probably will run with a few weekends of work. These old trucks are hard to findin thisunrestored condition. Sort of a body mans dream.Truck will have to be winched on a trailer to be moved to new owner. You can go any direction with it. What you see is what you get, as is where is.
