1960 Chevrolet Impala 2 Door Hardtop
348 cubic inch V8,Tri Power Carburetor, 4 Speed Transmission, Posi Traction Rear End.
A Spectacular Car in Show Ready Condition.
A True Classic with Glossy Black Exterior – Roman Red Interior – Red and White Houndstooth Upholstery
The meticulous frame-off rotisserie restoration began with a rust free body. The entire car was stripped to bare metal including the undercarriage, floor pans and trunk which were painted with the correct red oxide primer. All of the metal body parts including the frame, inner fender wells, core support, and all suspension parts were powder coated black. All of the correct original nuts and bolts were cadmium plated. The car was fitted with all new rubber seals and weather stripping. The front windshield, back window, and flat side window glasses were replaced with new. All of the chrome and stainless was straightened, re-plated, and polished.
The Engine, Transmission, Drive Shaft, and Posi Traction Rear End were completely rebuilt. Lift the hood to find immaculate attention to detail in every part. The engine boasts a fully restored Rochester Tri Power Carburetor system (3-2-barrels) and a network of stainless fuel lines.
Nothing was spared in the restoration process. Every wire including the fuse box and light socket was replaced with the original style wiring harness. Other rebuilt components include the steering box, power steering ram, and wiper motor generator.
The interior was meticulously restored to original - including rebuilt gauges, blower motor, heater core, and steering column.
Everything on the car is correct original for 1960 except the four wheel disc brakes and custom Billet Specialties mag wheels. These are a bolt on application and I will sell the car with the original rebuilt drum brakes and all of the mounting hardware.
This car is truly Special! It has only been driven in and out of shows since its restoration.
