New Paint, New Exhaust, New Wheels and Tires.
Offered for sale is a 1987 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Pick Up, Short Bed Fleet Side. The truck underwent an engine and transmission swap from a 1995 Impala SS. Now, instead of the 305 or TBI 350 that would normally come in this truck, It has an excellent running and shifting LT-1/700R4. It runs sooooo much better than a plain one...and rides great with new dropped spindles in the front with new springs. The wheels and tires are new, the beautiful red paint is new on a completely rust-free body from South Carolina, and the interior looks really good except for a small worn spot on the seat (see photo). I can get the seat recovered for $300 if you decide you want it done AFTER you win the bid. There is no tint on the windows right now, and even though I wanted to do it, I don't know what state this is going to be shipped to, so I thought I would wait on that. Window tint IS INCLUDED in the price if you decide you want it. If you don't want it, no credit or allowance will be made for it. Free if you want it, if you don't...that's ok too. As you already know, the short bed Chevy truck market is strong. Whether its a step side or fleet side, the demand is high. Great deals are few and far between, so this truck is priced to sell. Fly in to Florida and drive it home. Clean, clear title in hand for the winning bidder once the vehicle has been paid for and funds have cleared.
As it sits, it's ready to go. Like any vehicle, there is always something to do to make it your own. I don't expect everyone to love everything about it, but the good part is that the parts are plentiful for mechanical and cosmetic touches of your own. The new dual exhaust exits behind the rear roll pan, and it sounds great. Not too loud, not too quiet. I think it's just right. Stereo is good, but now a show winning system. The engine and transmission work great together and looks like it came in the truck The power steering reservoir is zip tied tight to the inner fender, so a small bracket should be installed to make it look better. If it doesn't bother you, it works great as it is.
Serious bidders only...no time wasters PLEASE. I reserve the right to end the auction early if you just can't wait and make me an offer I can't refuse. My goal is to give you all of the information you need to make a smart decision, so please do all of your homework, get permission from whoever you need to get it from, ask questions, and honor your bid. Honest answers given to all realistic questions. Lowball offers will be ignored. Email me at northshorebill@aol.com, text me at 941-740-2277, or reply through eBay. Texts are preferred...it's just quicker and easier. I know some people don't do that, so feel free to use whatever method you prefer. The truck is located in Port Charlotte, Florida...about 90 miles south of Tampa on the Gulf Coast side of the state.
I'll answer some of the questions I've received so far. It runs and drives great. The dropped spindles and front springs are new. The ball joints and control arm bushings are great. If it would've needed anything, it would've been done when those parts were being installed. The rear end is quiet without issues or leaks. The power windows and power locks work, but the passenger door doesn't always unlock. The more you use it, the better it works. NO RUST. It has a rear roll pan, and I do not have the original rear bumper or brackets. AC is cold, and the heat works also. Reserve price is under $15,000...so if you're wondering if it's going to be really cheap or really expensive...now you know. As always, if you have any questions or need information, I'm a text or email away.
