Offered for sale is a show quality 1938 Chevy Coupe Streetrod with many custom features including 3.5" chopped top, suicide doors with hidden hinges (Chevrolet stopped producing suicide doors in 1935) and many other features.The car was built by the legendary Ken Mitchell out of Indianapolis, IN. It has won numerous awards including many best of shows.
Under the hood is a 350 .30 over V-8 power plant including Keith Black alum. flat top pistons, Edelbrock (mild) camshaft, 650 Edelbrock carb, 461, Edelbrock performer manifold, Walker Cobra radiator and Edelbrock headers. The firewall is fitted with a handmade chrome liner. Power steering, brakes and Vintage air are included. The engine is coupled to a TH400 transmission w/ Lokar electric kickdown.
The car is built on it's original frame with updated Mustang II front suspension, front power disc brakes and 18"/17" Boyd Coddington custom wheels. Independent front/rear air ride is included that makes navigating curbs a breeze. The top has been chopped 3.5" on the original steel body w/ fiberglass fenders, running boards and tilt hood added. Custom suicide doors were built-in using hidden hinges. Door fit and finish is flawless. Outlaw Performance grill is stunning not to mention the PPG 94 Trans Am Red paint with multiple clear coats makes the car a real head turner.
Inside the cockpit are Griffey leather bucket seats, Dakota Digital gauges, Halibrand steering wheel, power windows, Kenwood stereo (with CD player) system and a D.E.I. alarm system. Vintage air is included.
The odometer reads reads 15974 miles at the time of listing, the title will read non-actual. The only flaws in the car is it leaks oil and the gas gauge doesn't work.
