A well done black Camaro will always attract attention on the street. Make it a nice car to drive with upgrades like leather seats, modern sound system, and AC. Then make it bad to the bone with a built 454 and driveline upgrades to put bite behind its bark. And then, you would have this car.
This car adds a twist to the black paint job that is so popular for early Camaros. First of all, these cars look great in black, so it's a great starting point. But to set it apart from the crowd, there are unique rally type stripes in dark blue that run up the 4-inch cowl induction hood, continue over the roof, the trunk, and even over the ducktail spoiler and down to the rear bumper. Chrome bumpers frame the car out nicely and the brightwork on this car looks great highlighting the fenders, rockers, lights and windows. SS badging only hints of how hot this car really is, and it is discreetly placed on the grill, fenders and trunk. Set all this shine on Billet Specialty wheels with beefy tires, and you have a car that is a real head turner. One that almost everyone can agree looks awesome.
Take this car out and enjoy the ride, anytime or anywhere you like. The interior is understated with the carpets, door panels, and headliner all in black. Procar bucket seats are comfortable and supportive. Upholstered in black leather, with matching leather on the back seats, they are comfortable on a cruise but have great lateral bolsters to keep you in control when you decide to let this car run. On the street, you will appreciate modern conveniences like an AC system and the high-tech stereo that is iPod compatible, with CD and a Bluetooth radio. Set those ventilation controls and stereo in a woodgrain console and dash panel which go nicely with the wooden 3 spoke steering wheel for a great look and a touch of class. On the strip, you will appreciate the business end of the interior. There is an Autometer tach with shift light and auxiliary Autometer gauges low on the console to keep track of critical functions.
Now let's talk about what makes this car a contender at the strip. Start with a 454 block, install a 292 competition cam and stainless roller rockers, let 11:1 TRW pistons make big compression, and connect everything with a full, Eagle rotating assembly. Let the engine breathe in through a ProForm 4bbl carb, and be distributed by an Edelbrock RPM intake. Let it exhale through long tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers. A BeCool aluminum radiator keeps temps under control. Chrome valve covers, master cylinder and brake booster, with a March serpentine belt setup and Aeroquip make everything look good. Power flows back through a crush proof bell housing with hydraulic clutch and a new 6-speed TKO trans. Finally, a 12-bolt rear end located more securely by a 3-point suspension acting through the leaf springs and coil over setup, gets the power to the ground through 275/40ZR17 rear tires. The front end keeps things under control with 245/45ZR17 tires with control arms, springs, shocks, sway bars, and disc brakes.
This is a well thought out and capable car. Awesome on the street. A contender on the strip. Come on down and see if it's the car you have been looking for.
