1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Additional Info:

If you are worried about my lack of feedback, let me assure you this isn't my first listing on Ebay. I had a profile that spanned over ten years of history (both as a buyer and a seller), and it was 100% perfect. Unfortunately (and please feel free to laugh at this one), the court decided that my ex-wife was more deserving of the account and awarded it to her. Now, I have to start at square one and build my history all over again.
Anyway, up for bid is a 1989 Camaro Iroc Z. I purchased this car as it currently sits, so I have most details, but there are some holes in the information I can provide.
As you can tell by the pictures, this car has been heavily modified from original.
The engine is a Dart 350 small block. It is a 383 stroker. It has JE pistons (paperwork was in the file that came with the car), and I was told its an eagle stroker assembly but I can't verify that. This is a solid roller cam motor (I do not know specs)Edelbrock performer heads.Accel DFI gen 7 with the 1000 cfm throttle body, with the dual sync distributor.MSD 6A ignition

The transmission is a 700r4. There are hand written receipts in the files that indicate it was built for "severe duty" by a local shop in Colorado Springs. At that time, they installed an 1800 converter.
The rear diff is a Chevy 9 bolt. There is no information if its ever been opened up or modified at all. There appears to be an aftermarket performance torque arm attached to the rear diff.
The car is equipped with Baer performance brakes all around.
It has a full set of Gotti Etoile rims.
When the car was first assembled, it made 532hp at the rear wheels (dyno sheet is included). I was told the engine was estimated to make around 750hp at the flywheel.
The body is extremely clean for the year. There is no rust or body damage that I have found anywhere on the car. I have not observed any signs that the car has been in an accident. The odometer reads 68541 for miles, but I have no way to verify how accurate that is. It even has a clean Carfax.
The paint job shows some age and has some rock chips, but it cleans up very well and still has gloss. The only "bad" part is how the front clip was reinstalled. They removed the front clip to install the engine and transmission, and did amediocre job of realigning the front fenders and hood.
The interior is in great condition. Its all original, so its not perfect, but it is outstanding for the age. There is some cracking in the dash (on the corner at the drivers side). There is also evidence that someone may have mounted a radar detector on the dash, because there are some screw holes in the center toward the windshield.
All of the gauges seem to function properly, although I have not had the speedometer checked for accuracy.
The car runs and drives, but it is in dire need of a tune up. It sat in storage for over a year (the previous owner had died). It has a miss and will sputter a little while driving down the road. The DFI needs to be retuned, however I DID NOT the the communication cable to hook up a laptop and quite honestly I don't have the experience necessary (I grew up on Holley carbs). There is a cd included for the purpose of tuning it up, but the calmap cable is not present.
Despite the need for a major tune up, the car is extremely fast. It will burn the tires with ease. I had purchased this car with every intention of doing the minor things and then driving it during the summer, but I just don't have the time with everything else I have going on.
I would guess this car has had well over $35000 invested into it with all of the modifications. My reserve is nowhere near that. This car can't be duplicated for what my reserve is.
This car is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. I will accept a cashiers check, bank draft, money order, wire transfers, or cash in person. All proceeds will be verified before I release the car or sign over the title (so allow for a minimum of 10 business days for checks, or transfers to clear). Transport is the sole responsibility of the buyer. If the car will be transported, I will need advance notice to meet the driver at the cars location.
I don't need help selling the car, and I already have a Paypal account so don't waste my time with garbage email telling me about "opportunities".
I am happy to answer any questions I can, or take additional pictures of the car. I want the transaction to be as transparent as possible. Please ask all questions before you bid. If you want to have the car inspected prior to bidding, I will be happy to accommodate.
I will not disclose my reserve before the end of the auction.
