1972 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne Super Sport Additional Info:
Edit: I've added some pictures of the bottom of both doors and the inner rockers. Driver door is shot in my opinion. Replacements are relatively inexpensive. Both sides have solid inner rockers with the passenger side a little worse than the driver side. The sill where the rockers meet the body right under the door sill rubber seal is rusty and bad on both sides. Driver side is visible in pics, but passenger side is also similar just still has the rubber seal on it.
The Truck:My dad got this truck in a trade with another Cheyenne. Both were owned by the same guy who daily drove this until about 2005 when it developed some "serious top-end tapping" according to him. He removed the carb, master cylinder and radiator to put in his other truck (we also ended up with that one but it's long gone now). He said he replaced some rockers and then lost interest in the project and parked it behind his warehouse in 2005 or 2006 when gas was getting super expensive. It was "covered" on top by the building overhang, but was still exposed somewhat. He said when he parked it back there it didn't have a speck of rust on it. We bought the 2 trucks from him in 2012 or 2013 and I had intentions of building this one because it was such a nicely optioned one, but other projects have taken priority. We didn't get a title with this truck, but it has it's last Texas tags on it so shouldn't be hard to track it down. In Oklahoma, services charge about $200 to handle old titles. Gas tank is present and nice, just removed to clean up the truck cab.
The Good:Original Cheyenne Super with original 402 Big Block and TH400 (I think) trans seems to shift fine.AC Cab, but I can't find the compressor at the moment so it might not be present.Original Texas truck, not tons of rust.Uncut dashPower Brakes - Booster is there, master cylinder is missingHeavy Rear SpringOriginally had White interior
The Bad:It needs a full resto OR rod it.Rust in the rockers and footwell (visible in pics)Wet leaves were left in the bed for years so while the top of the bed is pretty good, there is rust in the bed floor (visible in pics)This is a project and is missing the following:TitleTailgateBench SeatRadioCarbeuratorRadiatorGrillOn Dec-22-17 at 15:17:03 PST, seller added the following information:
