1968 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
1968 Camaro
Our family calls it the "Alice Camaro" because it was owned by our mom, Alice, since 1969(see picture of Alice with car below) and used through her life as her regular car. The original bill of sale-see below-has my father's name, Alex, which is also the listers first name. Very sentimental to the family, especially since both Alice and Alex have passed, but we are not using it all that much and we think someone else will enjoy it!
Complete 1968 Camaro blue 2nd owner, bought in 1969The engine block number matches the 1968 number so although my mom had engine work over the years it seems to be the original engine (if it was replaced it was obviously replaced with an original straight six 1968).
Sold As Is-but it's ready to drive!AutomaticBlinkers, headlights, brakelights all up and running. Brakes work well but car sometimes pulls a tinsy bit to the left when you brake-this tiny pull has not presented us with a safety issue as it is ever so slight-we are confident it can be fixed if it bothers future owners. Interior is intact, and is in good condition except for a chip(see pic. below).Turn key operation, starts right up, trans in great shape, brakes function properly.Original Protection plan booklet, plate and bill of sale from 1969.
Seat interior in perfect shape(no tears). A chip(see pic) in interior coating and rubber molding loose(easy fix) in area by back window in general good shape. I don't think anyone will be that disappointed, but you should be willing to invest in under repair or know how to deal with rust issues on bottom of the car(see pics). Although it was garaged all it's life here in NJ, I guess that wasn't enough to keep the rust away. But the body is straight and it drives well!
Car is an excellent foundation for a hot rod project car or full restoration.
Will need engine work here and there but I got some major work done recently so the car could be driven and enjoyed by me the last several months. So, again, please know, it is completely drivable right away-starts well and it is safe to take on the road. It definitely is a head turner.
Feel free to contact me with questions. As you can see, we are honest sellers and very upfront and want you the purchaser to be happy knowing we were fair!!
And if you believe in "corny" things, we have to tell you this car has good Alice vibes so you'll probably be so happy with the purchase!!! She'll be watching over you and the car in a good way!!!!! Women drivers should apply!!! :) But anyone who is interested, of course, should too!!!!
