Up for auction is a 1968 Chevy Camaro SS350. I bought this car from Agusta, Georgia in 2010 with the restoration being completed in 2006.

The paint is slick and the body is nice and straight. The paint job is a few years old and even though very nice it does have a few imperfections such as a small crack in the paint behind the rear quarter window in the corner, small chip in edge of hood, the restore from 2006 but as you can see from recent photos car still looks great. It's overall a very nice looking paint job and body. It has a cowl hood, and front and rear spoilers. The chrome, bumpers, emblems, and bright work are all in excellent condition and so is the glass. It has Rally wheels with the small center caps, beauty rings and BF Goodrich Radial TA’s.This car is an excellent driver.

The interior is excellent. It has been completely restored to include the clock on the console which he sent off and had it reworked with quartz action. As I stated above he was very meticulous and everything works including cool Air Conditioning.

The engine is not the original however it is a strong running 1969 350 V-8 which was built with performance in mind to a 383 with a mild cam. It has an aluminum intake and a Holley 600cfm carburetor. It looks clean and nice under the hood as well with plenty of chrome including the valve covers, air cleaner, and timing chain cover. The car runs just as good as it looks and sounds nice as well with the Flowmaster exhaust. The transmission is a Turbo 350 (rebuilt) and it shifts great and the car handles perfect as well. The front end has been redone with new tie rod ends, bushings and so forth and it drives straight and true down the road.

It is a pleasure to drive this car with the power steering, power brakes, and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere.I put a 3rd generation steering box in so it steers like a newer 3rd gen camaro.

The 1968 Camaro got several styling changes. Side vent windows were no longer available, side marker lights were included on all Camaros thanks to government regulations and the grille had a pointed center. Different taillight bezels with two lamps per side were used.

The SS Package, available on the coupe and convertible, was slightly modified. The center of the front grille and the gas cap carried SS emblems without engine numerals. The front fenders also used SS emblems, behind the wheel wells just below the Camaro emblem. It's impossible with GM serial numbering of the first gen camaro to verify if a true SS or not, the title has this designation, but original motor not present and no way of truly verifying.

Several mechanical improvements were made. All Super Sport Camaros got a multi-leaf rear spring suspension replacing the monoleaf setup of 1967 and staggered rear shocks, which meant the passenger’s side rear shock was located behind the axle housing and the driver’s side rear shock was located in the front. The use of staggered shocks eliminated wheel hop. Hooker Headers.

I hope the above information will be helpful in your quest for a Camaro email with any questions.
