Matching numbers car with correct Corvette only, Dark Blue metallic paint Only year available for this body 350 cid L-48 V8 engine Hydra-Matic 3-Speed automatic transmission Power steering and power brakes Astro-VentilationMotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this well prepared 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray coupe. The finish of this dramatic dark blue metallic Corvette defies its age and would be comfortable pulling duty as a daily driver, weekend toy, or car show participate. This matching numbers ’73 was the only year that the Corvette was offered with the “older” rear and “newer” front nose body…built right here in good ‘ol St. Louis.
The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) is a sports car that was produced by Chevrolet 1968 through 1982. The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette. 1973 started Corvette’s transformation from muscle to touring sports car. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: “We gave it radials, a quieter ride, guard beams and a “nose job”. Indeed, redesigned body mounts and radial tires did improve Corvette’s ride, and interior sound levels. The chrome rear bumper was essentially carried over from the previous year. However, the chrome blade front bumper was dropped for a light-weight front bumper system with a injection-molded urethane bumper cover.
Presented in the original Corvette only color Dark Blue Metallic (Code 27), the professional quality paint job with only shows minor imperfections visible upon close inspection and still shows extremely well even today. The body matching T-tops have an excellent fit and finish. The chrome split rear bumpers have an excellent fit and finish that show brilliantly. The front bumper cover fits well only a few minor imperfections. All trim pieces are present and have a brilliant finish with no dents. The weather stripping is still very pliable, with little or no drying, tearing or shrinkage Paint and body are exceptional with very little visible evidence of stress or damage that we could find. The 15-inch original equipment wheel present well with little or no marring.
Inside, the gorgeous rich dark Blue (Code 413) vinyl seats all look great with no major signs of wear visible. Great looking blue carpet throughout the interior shows well with normal wear. Overall the genuine original gauges look great and compliment the crack-free blue dash. The center console (with data tag), door panels (with power windows) are matched perfectly and compliment the exterior of the car completing the theme. The original steering wheel is in very good condition and leather wrapped, Delco AM/FM radio with rear mounted Pioneer speakers and factory Astro-Ventilation.
This nicely represented Corvette is equipped with Rochester 4 barrel carburetor on top of a 350 cid L-48 engine, Hyrda-Matic 3-speed automatic transmissio, power steering, power disc brakes, 15 inch original equipment “Rally” steel wheels with highly polished beauty rings, matching Corvette center caps with knock-off hubs, wrapped in “raised white” Cooper tires.
Built locally here with pride in St. Louis, rare matching numbers car and the only year available! The beginning of the touring car Corvettes but still pulsating with the “Hearbeat” of a muscle car… GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 7,290 miles, It is sold as is on a clean & clear mileage exempt Indiana title.
