Welcome To Danvil1
Many Chevelle and Muscle Car Fans consider the 1970 Chevelle SS to be America’s favourite Muscle car and the one theywant the most is the mighty 454 SSwith LS6 450 HP engine. Enjoyed a lot from the current and previous owners this car has racked up 104,000 original miles. Painted Cranberry Red in 2007 this car originally came with 14-14 Cortez Silver. Interior was originally a 755 black bench seat car but now has Black Bucket Seats with Console. Body, Floors and Trunk are all solid original sheet metal and only the drivers side fender was replaced. Born with CRV Block with Matching Vin number comes with the car along with the original low rise Intake. The car is currently running on another 512 LS6motor that is date code correct and casting numbers correct, The Original M22 is gone but a correct 1970 Chevelle LS6 M22 from a different assembly plant shifts the car on a Hurst Shifter. The Original rear end was replaced by the second owner with a 1972 12 Bolt Posi Rear end with 3.55 ratio (You can still call him to confirm this change with his story). Scheduled build date of this car was the First week of April 1970 on the Cowl Tag, Scheduled Build Sheet date has the First Day of April 1970 and the NCRS Shipping Data report confirms the car was actually built on April 7 1970 out of the Kansas City Leeds Plant and yes it has the “L” code on the cowl tag. Car was sold out of Quality Chevrolet Inc. in Oak Lawn Illinois when new and it was a “XXX Customer Ordered Car”
