1948 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
1948 Chevy half ton short bed project truck. I started building this and don't have time to get back on it until after the first of the new year, so i figured I'd offer it up im the meantime.
Body is in excellent condition for one of these. Theres very little rust. One spot under the driver side door hinge is the worst and there's a few other small spots here and there.
Mounted professionally on a 99 s10 frame. You can see the mounts in the frame pics.
The engine and trans are out of an 02 Silverado with just over 100k miles. I drove the donor truck and it was fine.
Included in the salen but not pictured .....new 12 circuit wire harness, new set of dolphin gauges, new chrome tilt column from summit, all of the missing interior trim. The trim is freshly painted, but not installed.
The interior of the cab has been freshly painted. Has a new headliner installed.
Truck is lowered with new drop spindles and lowering blocks.
I had the original colum in just to test run the engine but planned to swap the column and add a plug and play harness and get the ecm flashed.
Radiator is new and connected.
The corners i cut that should be addressed......drive shaft is installed, but should be remade by a professional, or at least balanced. I used the 5.3 manifolds and a chunk of the original exhaust. The exhaust is against the frame rails. Headers and new exhaust wouldcure that. Alson there is epoxy on the bottom of the oil pan. Not my doing, but i assume there was a leak or crack in the pan. It does not leak.
Clear title as a 48 that matches the tag in the cab.
I have shipping contacts if needed.
I don't need to sell this truck, so it won't go cheap, but it is still a great value for what is here. Call or text me at 570-299-1755 with any questions or reasonable offers. The terms are simple. If you win, pay the deposit within 24 hours and full payment within 7 days. To end the listing early, the deposit is double. The truck can stay here for 30 days while transport is arranged.
