Putting work truck out to pasture! My loss can be your gain... 1989 Chevy 3500 two door truck. Big block 454cid engine, with automatic transmission. Engine runs rough but does not smoke. I think it needs a harmonic balancer. Tires are heavy duty and in good shape. Bed is 8ft aluminum tool body with power lift gate. (The power lift gate will pick up 1,000 +/-, and has been a life saver for me!)Lift gate pump and motor were replaced a few years ago, at that time I added a 10ft remote hand control. This truck (when running correctly) is a monster work truck.
But if you were to part this vehicle out as salvage - keep in mind the 8ft aluminum tool body, the near new 1000# lift gate (worth $3000 alone!), the big block 454 engine, heavy duty transmission and rear end, body panels and glass... list goes on. This truck is a good buy in many ways. Good luck in your bidding.
