I bought this C30/440 Holmes a year ago not running. When I checked the truck out, I noticed parts had been stolen probably to repair another truck/car. It was missing the alternator, starter, Ext. Voltage regulator and carb..
I bought everything and was able to start the truck and verify wrecker/winch operation. The PTO functioned great as did the winch, able to lift both my '29 Ford and my '70 C10 without an issue
I had planned to "Rat Rod" and make usable to move/port my own cars as well as help out friends if asked...
Since, my wife, kids and I have moved for work and now unfortunately haven't been able to move forward due to lack of shop space and time.
The cab floors,rockers and door jams are shot in my opinion and will need brake lines and possible wheel cylinders as well as tires
This is a savable truck but will require repairs to make road safe...
The engine runs, transmission shifts, PTO works, rear dif is good, wheel lift works and bumper lift works as well...All recovery/tow functionoperate as required with correct components
I simply ran wires and fuel cell to verify operation
Has a new gas tank that hasn'tbeen installed, hounds-toothbench seat, both Amber rotation lights work
