1961 Chevrolet C-10 APACHE RESTO ROD Additional Info:
This truck is a short bed step side Apache C-10frame off build by Tom Reddin that has just been completed. The engine is a 383 stroker 4 bolt main, balanced, bored .030, "268 comp"cam., balanced flywheel, Edelbrock intake manifold, carburator, valve covers, and more. The engine build has approx. 3,000 miles on it. Other features include a 4 speed saginaw trany (Camero) with a Hurst shifter, a 12 bolt 342 ratio Chevy rear end and a 4 link traction system. The frame has been blasted primed and painted. It has 4 inch dropped rear shackls with a 2 1/2 inch front spindle which sets the truck up awesome. It has power front brake, power steering, cross flow radiator and a 15 inch electric fan.
The body is painted with a Ford "light turndra" PPG paint. The bed is finished with 1 inch thick cedar with stainless bed strips and hidden fasteners. The instruments are Kustom Omega with a new period radio. The wheels are Chevy ralleys with stainless hubs and rings.
This Apache while is fast is no loud hot rod. It has a nice 50's rumble idle sound. It is a hoot to drive yet has good road manners and sure gets a lot of thumbs up. You are encouraged to see this truck before bedding and feel free to send e-mails or call me with ques. @ 903-268-5090. I have all the receipts for the parts spent on the truck. $$$$$$
