1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Additional Info:
Bought this car back in the Spring. It had some wiring issues, so I decided to install a new wiring harness from Speedway. That's where it stands now...the new wiring needs to be finished. Horn and some gauges need to be hooked up as well as the wipers. Front and rear lights work. This is an ALL STEEL car. There was some patch work done by the previous owner in the front and rear of the car, where the slots for the bumper brackets to come through. Car runs and drives well, but does leak some fluids. A simple pan gasket replacement.
The paint job was done by an amateur...this is not a show car but a nice driver that needs some detailing. It has a 350 motor, Holley 4 bbl carb, TH350 Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Disc brakes in the front, drum in the rear, 10 bolt rearend with highway gears (70 mph) A front clip was welded on with an independent front suspension. Flowmaster dual exhaust, Headers, Tilt wheel, radio, a decent interior probably done 10-15 years ago.
There is a video on You Tube of this car from the company I bought it from. Just search 1940 Chevy Sedan. The radio and large screen in dash have been removed. Previous owner started to hook up electric door poppers but didn't finish. So the doors need to be opened up from the inside door lever. I hadn't planned on selling it, but some financial issues have come up and I need to let it go.
