1990 Chevrolet Blazer K5 Additional Info:
This truck is a ton of fun...turns heads everywhere, turns the tires on demand, and those are 40x18 out back...The lift is Full skyjacker soft ride 8", All spring, there's a 1" block only for the rake in the rear. Has drop sway bar brackets, pitman ar, drag link, and a raised steering arm. Stainless braided brake lines front and rear, dual Nitro 9000 shocks up front, and single 9000's out back. Round it out with Moog Ball joints, U joints, Tie Rod Ends and New brakes and axle seals front and rear, and I threw out all the stock hardware and replaced it all with grade 8 hardware. Also a 2" body lift, I got rid of of the stock rubber and put all Poly mounts and more new hardware last summer. Frame was sandblasted and painted a couple years back.
Motor is a GM performance Crate Engine, 4 bolt main, Lunati Voodoo cam, edlebrock intake, Holley street avenger carb, Full MSD HEI ignition, Added the stock fan to the scrap pile, put in an electric fan that keeps it nice and cool. Long tube headers to a 2.5" true dual exhaust, flowmasters then out through a set of 3.5 tips. Motor was bought new, only ran Royal Purple since break in, It's getting around 400hp to the rear tires. (estimate)
700R4 Trans was built a few years ago as well, B&M stage 2 shift kit, kevlar bands, corvette servos and an HD torque converter,
Interior is redone, did black vinyl wrap on the headliner and bedside panels, and mounted some alpine 6.5's in those for good measure. Dash is carpeted black, with some more alpines in there. The Diamond plate accents on the dash and doors I made personally, so it's a nice original touch. Power windows with new motors, and the plugs are on quick connects to pull the doors in about 5 minutes. The body has shaved door handles, marker lights, and no more antenna. New rockers, tailgate bar (and the rear window works great) and all the typical chevy cancer is gone. Needs some TLC, but it's all cosmetic. I did new seals on the top and the doors too, so that comes on and off with ease, and it's watertight.
For good measure, I have a spare rearend, 2 spare tires with a little tread left, a 8000 pound ramsey winch, and some other Misc. stuff that can go with it. I'm sure there's nicer, bigger, faster, but there isn't one that's a combination of all of them. This truck is built for the woods, with enough quality and creature comforts to cruise down the highway. The fact that in can drag most 4 cylinders on the street and seriously ruin your Jeep buddies "favorite" mud hole are just added bonuses. It's adult owned, adult built, and adult maintained,
