1985 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
This 1985 Step side Chevy C-10 was a frame off restoration. The frame is powder coated and C-notched to accommodate the air bag system from Air Ride Technologies and large wheels. The engine is a ZZ 502 big block crate motor with aluminum heads from Dickey Scroggins along with a 750 cm four barrel carburetor.
The engine has polished chrome valve covers, ceramic coated Hooker Headers with 3" dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. Additionally the engine has add on billet aluminum serpentine pully's and brackets from March Inc.
The transmission is a 700 R4 automatic and has a GM 12 bolt 3:73 gears with limited slip Auburn rear end. The suspension is a four link air ride with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The front suspension has dropped front spindles with tubular upper control arms.
The wheels are chrome Bonspeed Clutch style with 20x8.5 front and 22x10 rear wheels and Nitto tires. A stainless steel gas tank from Fat Fendered St. rods rounds out the chassis.
The body has many custom modifications, phantom front grille, shaved interior fender wells, firewall, and side lamp markers, door handles with added door poppers, chopped 3" top, rear step removed and fender stretched with Corvette tail lights and front/rear roll pans. The rear truck bed has been raised and all parts are from Mar K with oak floor panels. The rear tailgate is welded in with a Chevy emblem cut in rear tailgate and has illumination of purple lighting to coordinate with the front purple flames. The truck is painted Tangelo Pearl Ice with Passion Purple flames from House of Colors.
The interior has a custom made Corvette style dash board and is complimented with Haneline gauges, tilt steering and Budnik steering wheel. A Clarion sound system with twin 10" subs, mid-range and twin tweeter speakers completes the interior.
The custom show truck has 2,339 miles since rebuild. It does have power steering, power brakes and power windows but it does not have air conditioning or heating.
