A 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo like this is truly an interesting vehicle. It's one of the sleekest and sportiest versions of a classic personal coupe, and an early example like this one has some unique features that will always keep it a standout classic.
This is a pivotal year for the Monte Carlo. The SS just returned the previous year, and the factory-correct color combo you're looking at would not continue after 1984. This is particularly important as you start to see how well coordinated the packaging is inside and out on this car. There has been a lot of care that has gone into this coupe. The white remains bright and the whole package has straight bodylines and good gaps. Even the wraparound blue striping and decals with built-in fade is still quite correct. The sporty urethane chin spoiler and unique nose give the SS its NASCAR-inspired attitude and an understated deck lid spoiler reinforces the subtle sporty natures. Plus, great upgrades like the new exhaust tips and the large 22-inch alloys give the package some standout brightwork.
1984 was the only year for the all-blue interior, and so we are thrilled to see it this well presented and preserved as the exterior. Another exclusive are the cloth bucket seats. This was the only year that the individual front seats and center console were included with the wood paneling interior. And we think this combo seems to represent the dual sports and luxury nature of the Monte Carlo SS the best. Other features of this premium performance car include power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, electric rear defogger, the original AM/FM/cassette stereo (now with CD changer, too), and factory air conditioning. The driver grabs a sporty dual spoke steering wheel, and beyond that is a full gauge panel, including large tach.
On a Monte Carlo this original so far, it's great to see such an honest engine bay that's correct right down to factory stickers that are still seen throughout. The 305 cubic-inch small block V8 under the hood is a strong runner, and the four-barrel carburetor helps create plenty of old-school muscle car torque. Linked to a trusty three-speed automatic transmission, it's a fantastic highway cruiser. The suspension is tuned to be entertaining but you can still feel this car's luxury coupe origins underneath, so it's great for road trips. It even has power steering and front disc brakes to keep you in complete control.
Complete with the right paperwork such as the original window sticker and full owner's manual packet, rarely do you get to find an interesting classic that's this distinct and affordable. That's why you also know you have to act fast to take it home. Call today!!!
