When you're shopping for a distinct and turn-key classic, you have the right to be choosy. So take some extra time to check out this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS. This is a real-deal first-year Super Sport that has been restored to get the most out of the terrific color coordinating package, and even more growl out of the original big block V8.
You can easily get lost in this car's deep Marina Blue ocean. Marina Blue is this car's original color, and it wears it well. That's thanks to a full rotisserie restoration in 2013, and the coupe has been treated correctly ever since. In fact, this first-year Camaro has lived a life of respect where the current owner was taking care of it long before he was old enough to drive it! So the restoration on this Super Sport is the product of automotive love. That means no dings, bubbles, or imperfections to get in the way of the Camaro's Coke-bottle curves. And with paint this nice, you need the best brightwork to complement it. That's why you have a mirror-like shine on the wraparound bumpers and the delicate fender/rocker moldings. Lovers of details will want to spend more time with this coupe. It has the correct SS items like the louver trim in the hood, badging, and the SS hood stripe in white. It even has redline tires on the iconic Rally wheels.
If the exterior did not already convince you there was all the right investments made in restoration, the interior absolutely will. One of the first things you'll notice is that every bit of factory-correct blue vinyl is in pristine condition. We love how this coordinates nicely with the exterior color, and the white streak in the deluxe seating completes the fully coordinated and very correct package. The ribbing on the deluxe door panels matches the texture of the low-back bucket seats, and in-between them is the desirable center console. This is absolutely a nice place to spend some quality time. The center of the dash has all the factory-correct pieces working perfectly, including the heat/defrost sliders and AM radio. Your right hand may never want to leave the Hurst shifter, and your left one will love the grippy factory steering wheel with proper SS center cap. Ahead of that are the large speedo and tach both set into their own deep individual pods like a European sportscar. And to the side are all the auxiliary readouts you'll need.
The rare numbers-matching L78 big block that's still under the hood already makes this part of Camaro royalty. One glance at the highly detailed engine bay, and you'll see there was no expense spared in this very important showpiece. It has been beautifully finished with correct Chevy orange paint on the block, a satin black background, and bright chrome on the air cleaner as well as the valve covers. It's truly correct, right down to the hoses. So as pretty as this car is from every angle (including the ultra-clean undercarriage,) it's really a beast on the streets. You'll enjoy the full control over this monster motor with the Muncie M21 close-ration four-speed transmission. This whole package makes a thunderous rumble out of the dual exhaust as you row through the gears on the open road. But if you must stop, it's an easy affair thanks to power brakes with discs up front.
No matter if you're out to own the road or own the podium at car shows, this Camaro SS is the right big block machine. So the only way it will disappoint you is if you miss out on taking it home. Call today!!!
