1961 Chevrolet Corvette 1 of 1 NICKEY Conversion with original docs Additional Info:
1 of 1 ultra rare 1961 NicKey Chevrolet Corvette conversion
The very first documented 350 cid conversion and done by NicKey Chevrolet Performance Nov 14th 1966
The only known 1961 Corvette they did a engine conversion on.
3 pages of NicKey Chevrolet shop invoices signed by original owner who worked for the Chicago Cubs in the mid to late 60's
Nickey pulled the brand new engine from a new 1967 Camaro SS350 4 speed car and did a Super Car conversion to Camaro and installed this MS coded 350/295hp SS 4 speed engine in this 1961 Corvette for Wayne Dahlstrom
Factory 4speed car
Factory 4.10 posi car
Factory 2 top car
Ultra rare car with Iron clad docs! Also hired well known GM expert Jerry MacNeish to do Certificate of Authenticity and Jerry was able to find original owner Charles "Wayne" Dahlstrom.
Wayne was also kind of enough to also sign a Certificate of Authenticity stating he was the one who authorized the NicKey Chevrolet conversion and personally signed all NicKey shop invoices dated Nov 14 & 15th 1966.
He also sent me his original Corvette club jacket and misc memorabilia, pictures to go with car.
This Corvette is in the NicKey Registry and also inspected and authenticated by NicKey Performance owner and GM Super Car expert Stefano Bimbi and was invited and in the 2015 MCACN "Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals" NicKey display.
This car is a piece of automobile Sports Car/Super Car history!
Car can be seen at my home in Desert Hills (North Phoenix)Arizona. I'm about 30 mins north of the Phoenix Sky HarborAirport (PHX)
Will considerpart trades on the following 1967 1968 1969 Camaro, Z28 SS COPO L78 427or 1970 Chevelle SS396/454 Big Block and consider rock solid projectsas well.
