Up for sale we have a 1965 Chevrolet 300 Deluxe. This is a L79 Chevelle Clone that has undergone a frame off restoration. The body has less than 25000 miles on it and is super solid. It comes with a lot of original documentation like the protecto plate and original deal sheet. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the 300 Deluxe. When restored this car was pulled all the way down and put on a rotisserie. The body is laser straight and is covered in the Tuxedo Black base coat clear coat. You'll see the paint has a deep rich shine that is smooth to the touch with the detail in the jams and under the hood being great. It has new bumper as well as other new chrome. The side stainless was polished as well as the trim around the glass. All new seals were installed around the glass with new window felt on the door glass. All the weather stripping was replaced as well. To set off the look it's sitting on a set of 18" and 20" Billet Specialty Wheels!
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '65. On the inside it features all the original interior with the exception of the mat in the floor. It's done in the Medium Turquoise Radiant Cloth and Imitation Leather. The shifter is correct for the bench seat with the lock out reverse. The dash retains the factory paint and instrumentation. As a whole its very clean and in remarkably good condition for its' age.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by a '65 model 327 that we were told was built to L79 350HP Specs. The engine has the Aluminum Intake with a Holley Carb and chrome dual inlet Air Cleaner. The exhaust flows through stock manifolds with new dual exhaust. The trans is a Muncie Four Speed that's mated to a 12 Bolt Posi Rear End. Under the front of this Chevy it's all new with Power Disc Brakes, new bushings and joints. It has a front sway par along with Power Steering. Out back it has boxed control arms with a new rear sway bar. The brakes are new as well as the brake lines. The fuel tank was replaced along with new lines as well. The floor pans all look new as does all the body bushings.
