Hey Guys,
I have a 1969 Chevy Chevelle Malibu for Sale. I bought this Car from Savannah Classic Cars in Georgia last year and thought it was just in the right condition to be my next project.
I was hoping to link the website of the previous sellers website so you could see the before pictures, but unfortunately the car is now under the "sold inventory" section and it only has one picture and no description. I’ll do my best to paint a picture for you of everything that is going on that aren’t in the pictures I've posted (i have plenty more pictures that what is posted on this auction). When I purchased the vehicle it was running with a nice big 454 engine that starts up right away. There was about 700 miles on the new engine and I haven't put on many more than that since. The interior was completely gutted besides carpet, two bucket seats and the back bench. Since then we have had a floor shifter professionally installed and then we got to work on the interior (all parts purchased through OPGI). We started by pulling up the carpet where we found some rust holes in the rear under the seat so we had those professionally patched. After that we added in sound deadening material over the patch work and disbursed wherever I thought would help keep sound out. After we put the carpet back down we put a new rear package tray and foam piece under the rear window. Then we covered the old rear seats with new covers. Next, we moved to the door panels and installed new water shields as well as the door panels, new armrests, new door handles, and window crank handles.
A few notes about the interior:
You can tell that the original interior was dark green but everything I have purchased has been in Black so when you look at dash pad and a couple pieces under the dash those are still green for the time being.
Also, under the carpet and under the sound deadening material there is some rust and a few tiny holes which I have plenty of pictures for you to check out.
The old headliner was ripped out and is currently bare but the clips and rods are still there so a new headliner will be on your to do list.
Next, I put on a niceH- pipe Exhaust system with 3" tips that sound great. They were also installed by a professional and it’s an A+ job.
When the car was purchased a lot of the trim pieces were missing so we had those put on as well
We installed a new steering box from a 95 jeep that really helped tighten up the steering. Then we went to the front end, replacing the lower control arms and ball joints.
The car runs and drives great, but it is still a project so it is being sold AS IS. Just like any classic car there is always more that can be done. When I purchased this car, I was definitely taking over someone else’s project and now she is much closer to where she needs to be, but now I am thinking it might be someone else’s turn to continue improving. While she’s on the market I’ll still be putting time in but again no hurry to sell just want to see if there is potential for someone to get her to the next level
