1953 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 Additional Info:
1953 Chevy Pickup. 3100 5 Window barn find: These old tucks with the corner windows are hard to find. I am listing this truck for a farm family friend.. It's an original never restored truck with 80k on the odometer. It was running when parked inside 15 years ago. The cab is nice, Vin number matches the title.
The truck is complete and has that "barn find" patina everyone likes. It appears to have one blue repaint over the original green. There was a door logo and old time phone number that may resurface if you sanded down to it. There are obviously going to be some rust issues and dings but the cab has no dents from kids jumping up and down on it. As she sits it has a great old time look,
I see several options: You could probably fix the brakes, tune it up and drive it as is, OR, Remove the body and put it on Chevy S10 or GMC chassis, or make it into a Street Rod. The wood is gone and the bed floor was converted to steel. The tail gate is there but not in very good shape. I would think you could find a better one. There are some new parts with it including exhaust system as you see on the front seat. This is a no reserve auction and has a low starting price. The truck is in one of our machine sheds on a farm near Interstate 74 near Indiana Illinois boarder. We can assist with shipping arrangements.
Bank transfer or cash works best. ABSOLUTELY NO PAY-PAL Please ask your questions before you buy. This is a project truck not a turn key runner. I would love to tinker with this truck but at 76 I just don't have the zip to tackle it. Not rocket science just be a normal person who can afford a project and who understands the limitations of a 64 year old vehicle. Positive feedback always given in return for same. Thanks for looking.
