1977 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Cheyenne Additional Info:
For your consideration I have for sale a like new 1977 Chevrolet K10 4x4 Cheyenne pickup truck. It has only 6,313 actual original miles on it. This truck was purchased new off the lot by an old farmer here in North Dakota, and was titled on December 1, 1976. He had the dealership install a chrome rear bumper and rally wheels at that time to dress it up nice. He also added a spare rear tire holder. Times were good for most farmers of the area around these years, which is why he purchased this truck. It sat in his heated garage, driven sparingly to church on Sundays; while his farm pickup continued to be his daily driver. Unfortunately, in 1987, George suffered a stroke which prevented him from being able to drive. He passed in 2006. At that time, the pickup became property of the estate and carried by his wife, remaining in the garage at the farm now ran by the two sons. They would take it out and drive it on occasion, to keep things lubricated and in working order. On October 8, 1992, they had a new muffler and tailpipes installed. The engine oil has been changed 5 times since new, transmission fluid and filter as well as cooling system flushed once in 1992. I have the full service history of this vehicle . She passed in October of 2016, and through the settlement of the estate, this pickup became property of the now 63 year old son Gary. As he and his brother are now getting older and still running the day to day operation of the farm, he decided it was time for this pickup to be enjoyed by someone else who could take the time to care for it as it deserved. This was a very hard decision for him to make. I purchased this truck at auction in March of this year. It has not been registered since purchase, and I still retain the original title as well as the title given to the son in January of this year. Aside from a few rock chips and blemishes inside the bed of this truck, it is in amazingly beautiful factory new condition. It starts, runs, and drives like it's brand new. The steering wheel, foot pedals, shifter knob, seat belts, window cranks, etc... all retain the original factory appearance, and are as textured and perfect as any you've ever seen. The carpets are as new. The keys have no wear on them. Even the tow hooks retain their glossy black finish. I purchased this truck with the full intention of keeping it as an investment for my kids to enjoy one day, but unfortunately I've had a situation come up that requires me to sell. So, if you've ever wanted your chance to find and own very rare piece of American automotive history, this is it.
