The Exterior.

These trucks were customized at the dealer when they were new. Custom paint and wheels was a way for the dealers to make more money...I remember those days as the son of a Buick GMC Dealer.

So,...having said that,...this is a 30 year old Custom Truck that has it's fair share of imperfections. Paint chips touched up and a wet sand would do it wonders.

If any Classic Truck warranted a paint job,...it's this one...These are all the rage onthe Mecum Classic Auction Circut.

The exterior is respectable, but far from Show Quality....If it were me,...I'd lean into it and paint the truck a kick a$$ blue color....make it Pop!

The Interior.

Nice inside for the most part. It will need a Dash Cap...but otherwise pretty nice.

There are no odd smells,..the seat sits well and the carpets are clean.

Again,..A Dash Cap would do wonders in here.

The Mechanicals.

Well tuned 350,..Plenty of Power.

Excellent Shifts from Gear to Gear,...Up & Down.

No Odd Noises from the Transfer Case. 4x4 Locked In,..Dash Light Indicator Works.

It Runs Cool,...Has Great Oil Pressure,...And Actually Drives Great.

Now,...here's my critical take....it's the Headers into Side Pipes,...They're Loud upon takeoff. Cruising down the Highway...it's fine. I'd change the exhaust,...but maybe that's just my age:)

In Closing.

What an excellent Truck going forward. These era Bowties are very valuable in the Collector Car world. This low mile, super rare Rig should perform very well from here on out. The nicer you make it,..the more valuable it becomes,...a great Return on your Investment we think.
