DESCRIPTION HIGHLIGHTS:
What you are looking at is an original 1929 Chevrolet Series AC International sedan, with the correct 196 CID inline-six engine. This was the first year of the new overhead-valve inline six-cylinder engine, that would go on to power Chevies for another four decades. The famous “Stovebuilt Six” made 46hp at the time, and was advertised as “only $10 more” than the previous year’s four-cylinder model. Classic and antique car collectors will find a lot to like here! Everything on the car will receive a complete inspection prior to delivery. The VIN for this vehicle is 1AC2013. Here is the breakdown: 1 = Manufactured in Flint, Michigan AC = 1929 series passenger vehicle, model "International" 2013 = assembly number Translated, this is the 2,013th vehicle to come off the Flint assembly line in 1929. On the outside is what looks to be a repainted body in the original green paint shade with solid sheet metal and no visible rust. Overall the exterior is in good condition for its age, although we did notice a few scratches on the surface (please see photos). Inside, the interior is green, with an unrestored four-spoke steering wheel, rearview mirror and woodgrain shift knob. The upholstery does have some wear spots, and the overhead trim appears to be a corduroy-type material with a brown cloth headliner. All four doors open smoothly and latch firmly. The original wood-spoke wheels and three interior window curtains remain. All glass and chrome trim is present and in decent condition, including sealed beam headlights, radiator grille, and bumpers. This vehicle is being sold as is, where there is no warranty, expressed written or implied. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied themselves as to the condition and value, and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. We place quality above everything else, regardless of the time or effort needed to attain it. Our collection and inventory of classic and muscle cars are carefully inspected before, during, and after any work performed. Every aspect of one of our signature builds is kept to an extremely high standard. All restorations are returned to original factory spec or higher. We have a longstanding reputation within the enthusiast community, which we take seriously. Our team takes pride in the stunning machines we build, restore, and sell - and it shows. However, auctions are not a game, and when you place a winning bid, you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean we are able to "hold" the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer, and we openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car at our Muskegon showroom. Once you bid or make an offer, you are doing so to purchase WITHOUT conditions. Your bid cannot be subject to anything. A $1500.00 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 5 business days of the close of the auction and must be provided by bank wire transfer, personal check, cash, or money order. We cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and all payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released, with no exceptions. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not received as outlined above, we reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other partial payment received and we elect to terminate the contract, we reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. To be clear, if you change your mind for ANY reason and do not complete the transaction in the time frame required, you will forfeit your deposit. Financing is available! Please contact us for more details. We are happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis, and we work with several qualified transportation services, but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping at their cost. We can provide you with a quote for transport to any shipping port in the world in a sealed container and handle the process for you from start to finish. Our domestic and international ground transport solutions are enclosed only. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Compared to the overall market, the vehicles we offer for sale are generally superior to others available, but they are by no means perfect. You must expect some issues. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of nice "driver" condition. Please understand, show cars of this model cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve and sell for prices commensurate, so the sale price of this car reflects its relative condition. You are buying "condition" accordingly. Buyers should not expect to receive concours quality or "perfect" cars at these prices. Further, and very importantly, a 50 year old car is predominantly comprised of 50 year old parts–and old parts will fail. All buyers must understand and expect that things can or will wear out, break and/or stop functioning without notice. General preventative maintenance is not included in the purchase price. Feel free to ask for this additional service. A classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, may have the mileage be recorded as "exempt". In this regard, the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown, and accepts no responsibility for any discrepancy with independent reports such as Carfax, AutoCheck, etc. We are able to hold the vehicle up to 30 days after purchase while you arrange shipping, but you must immediately insure it. A daily storage fee will be applied beyond 30 days of auction end. We will not bear responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID, AS THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. If you would like to make a sales visit or arrange an inspection, we would be happy to schedule a personal appointment with either yourself or your representative. For customers arriving by plane or ferry, we can provide transportation to and from Muskegon Airport or the Lake Michigan harbor. We can also recommend accommodations within a short distance of our facility. If you have ZERO feedback on eBay, we understand you may be just starting out, so please call or email us to request our authority to bid on our vehicles before doing so.
