FLORIDA CAR
We at CAMPBELL BROTHERS AUTO SALES INC. are offering for sale this 1965 CHEVROLET BISCAYNE 2 DOOR with a 427 V8, M-21 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION, and 12 BOLT REAR END with an older restoration. This is a very solid good looking and impressively running/driving car. It was originally a Florida car and appears to be all original sheet metal. We purchased this car from a local collector, he sold it to be and it still has the decals on the windshield stating that the engine is a L-88 427. He claimed the block numbers are 3935439. I also have a Yester Years Chevy's Magazine from 1995 when this vehicle was a featured car and the story behind it being a 1-Lady Owned car from Florida with a 6-Cylinder and Power Glide Transmission. The article stated that when Stan Johnson purchased this car from Lena Hauser in Daytona Beach Florida he restored it and transplanted a L-88 427 Engine. That is what I know and that is what I was told. I before stated the gentleman said that block numbers were 3935439 however when the engine was rebuilt the block was resurfaced and we can not see the numbers that should be stamped on the tab at the from of the engine. Therefore although the gentleman claimed it to be a L-88 and the magazine article states it is an L-88 427 we will not guarantee it to be because we can not seen the numbers stamped on the block. But one more thing..... with all of that being said the heads and intake are 427. The heads numbers are 3919842 and the intake numbers is 3933163. It has an M-21 Close Ratio 4-Speed Manual Transmission, 12 Bolt Rear End, and Disc Brakes. The interior was updated but not drastically by W&W Upholstery in Apopka FL. As before mentioned the it has an older restoration and the car still looks very nice. However if you put it under artificial lighting you can see where the paint checkeding in a few places. The paint inside the door jams has peeled a little but still looks good. But let us be clear, although the paint is no longer perfect the body is straight and true, all panels are smooth, the gaps are correct, and there is NO rust and NEVER has been any rust. The floor boards, trunk pan, quarter panels, entire underneath, etc... are all solid and original. The interior upholstery, seats, and door panels were upgraded to cloth but the dash is original with the exception of newer oil and water temperature gauges mounted in front of the gear shifter. This car runs and sounds awesome! The motor offers amazing power and the transmission shifts as smooth as any 4-Speed I have ever driven. The car drives down the road better than when it was new. This vehicle is truly a blast to drive. I took it to the Fall Rod Run a few weeks ago and received many thumbs up and waves from the crowd while cruising the parkway. We sat in heavy traffic with no overheating issues what so ever. This is an affordable Big Block, 4-Speed, Muscle car. If you have been looking for an American Classic Muscle Car but don't want to spend a fortune Bid Now! This 1964 Biscayne comes equip with the following options and specifications........
