V.I.N. V3A59K110446 (V = V8 (283), 3A = 3100 (1/2 ton series), 59= 1959, K = Kansas City, MO (assembly plant), 110446 = (production number).
Original 283 V8 (Block # F1211M). F = (Flint, MI), 1211 = December 11 (the date it went down the engine assembly line (later to be marriedin KC on 2-8-59), M = 3100 series 1958.
Original four speed (three on the floor with "granny low") manual transmission (stamped K208) K= Kansas City, MO (assembly plant)208 = Feb 08, 1959.
Restoration Efforts:
Rebuilt Engine:1,200 miles on the rebuild. The 283 was completely overhauled in 2014 with a +.03 bore (the build was done by Maz-tech | Boise, ID).
New Fuel: new custom tank, fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor. (fuel tank work by Kenny's Hot Rod Shop | Boise, Idaho).
New Electrical: new harness and wires throughout, plugs, wires, coil, points, cap & rotor, NAPA battery, turn signals.
New Brakes: disc upgrade on the fronts, new drums on the rear, new lines. (work byKenny's Hot Rod Shop | Boise, Idaho).
New Glass and Rubber throughout.
Radiator & Heater Core both serviced and pressure tested.
Also included in this sale are many spare parts (see pic):Chevy manuals, 2 spare tires (one mounted), rocker panels, misc patch panels, extra glass, throttle cable, speedo cable, etc.
