Here is a ZERO RUST California Car, rare one of 60-65 Convertibles made by Hess and Eisenhardt in 1984, Chevrolet Celebrity.
Impressive 28 mpg highway but peppy V6 moves this heavy steel car along fine even at 75 down a lonely highway. 80s cars like this well built solid GM were underrated. I've had this car 4 years it's never given me any trouble and I drive it daily.
Car has 95,000 miles on it when I got it 4 years ago. I replaced the carb with multi port fuel injection and rebuilt a 2.8 from a 1986 model. Car runs like a dream. Smooth runs cool never overheats even with AC on which blows cold. Many NOS parts including bumper ends new windshield power window motors in front. Door latches new springs all the way around. Tires are brand new.
Custom taillights the originals (which I don't have) could be put back in nothing cut.
Floors are solid as a rock never had any rust even no surface rust which is common for a car this old. Super clean chassis.Car was repainted and reupholstored 3 years ago still looks great. New carpet and door panels redone. Dash pad redone. All lights and gauges work. All power windows work power top works great. Front disc brakes. Brakes were done front disc and rear drum 3 years ago. Still good but not new. Power steering works great.
Car needs nothing to drive now. It is not a show car but a super nice driver. Gets looks everywhere and has been used in TV Commercials and music videos and numerous photo shoots.
Engine has about 15,000 miles on it since rebuild.
