1986 Chevrolet C-10 deluxe package Additional Info:
My 1986 step side is a blast to drive and a real attention grabber! With less than 40,000 miles since the engine was rebuilt/modified, it is mechanically very sound.
It starts right up and sounds awesome. On the highway it cruises 80 mph all day long with ease.
The interior is in very good condition. The burgundy seats are original, but the dash, CD/ Radio and speakers, the steering wheel, and floor carpet has been replaced.
In the past few months I have added a metal radiator, replaced driver's side wing window, Giant brand steering wheel, and cut out and welded new muffler pipes on right and the left side. In addition, a year ago extensive drive train work was done by my mechanic in Colorado.
It is an unfinished project though. I have replaced one front panel, but there is rust on edges of back panels that need to be remedied in some manner, ( recommend new panels on the right and left side of the bed), and new paint would finish it out and make a super slick ride.

My asking price is based on an appraisal by Jim of 44th Auto, east of Denver, CO. Jim has built race trucks for almost forty years, modifies/rebuilds rare autos, publishes a monthly newspaper for the racing world, and is a 5 star rated mechanic.
I had him check out all systems to ensure the reliability of my truck as I was preparing to use it to haul a V.W. bus from Lawrence to Denver. Jim did the drive train work and installed a new metal radiator.
One comment he made, which I am accustomed to hearing is, "you have a sweet truck there", and added that he has only been able to customize two other trucks like mine over the past forty years.
One of those projects involved cutting the bed even shorter and adding big wheels on the back.
I encourage any serious buyer to drive this truck. It needs to be seen, heard, and driven to be fully appreciated,
