1985 Chevrolet Suburban Additional Info:
I am selling a meticulously cared 1985 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4x4 Diesel that has been customized by a professional fabrication shop. This Suburban has had an easy 32 year spent mostly on the west coast. She still maintains a straight dent and rust free body. The Suburban started its life as a simple 1500 Diesel, but has been converted into a dooms day, zombie killing, military inspired machine, capable to pull just about anything. The engine is the standard 6.2L Diesel with less than 90,000 miles, which is the same as the original HUMVEE, but with an added 6.5L turbo, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and exhaust off the turbo.
The exterior is sprayed in a desert sand bed liner. The military theme continues with a custom fabricated 8' long steel roof rack; powder coated black, fitted with 4 small LED lights, and 1 large LED light facing forward. The Suburban boasts 14,000lbs Mile Marker winch mounted to a hand-made 3/8" thick steel plate front bumper and a dodge steal rear bumper, both covered in black bed liner.
The suspension has been lifted 3" using the Skyjacker lift kit, which included new springs, bushings, shocks, brake lines, hardware and steering shocks. The steering box, ball joints and all lines also have been replaced. This dooms day machine sits on brand new 35" Baja Champion BF Goodrich tires mounted on CNC machined and powder coated black bottle cap rims.
Moving inside, the interior is sprayed in the same black bed liner as the bumpers. The seats are covered in new tan vinyl that complement the exterior, new factory seat belts and gun racks over the driver seat and second row seats. Moving to the back through the limo tinted windows: The rear cargo area has a protective rubber mat and an electrically actuated police shotgun case mounted above the rear window. The shotgun case opens from a switch in the ashtray, which is mounting in the custom fabricated dash.
The dash has all the factory vents with a converted A/C to R134a system that works well. The gauges have been converted to vintage style VDO gauges, including an electric speedometer calibrated to the larger tires. The radio is a new blue tooth capable unit that plays through water resistant speakers, making the entire interior water resistant and perfect for an easy hose down.
This beast has become a dream come true! Although the truck has 90,000 miles on the drive-train, it has less than 200 miles on it since the conversion. If you have any questions or would like more information about the Suburban, which I'm sure I have missed, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime. Thank you.
